Surrealism
Surrealism is an artistic and literary movement that emerged in the early 20th century, primarily in the 1920s. It sought to release the creative potential of the unconscious mind, rejecting logic and reason in favor of irrationality and the fantastical. Surrealism found expression in various art forms, including painting, sculpture, literature, film, and photography.
Any time I get to let my imagination run wild is always a good time. In this particular piece I was going for a superhero cosmic type vibe.
Double Exposure
Double exposure is a photographic technique that combines two different images into a single frame. This effect can be achieved in various ways, both in-camera and through post-processing.
This project was very fun because I got the chance to blend two images together and create an entirely new image.
Filters
filters allow users to apply various effects and enhancements to their images. Filters can be applied to adjust the appearance of the entire image or specific layers.
For this project I used the images from my drone and combined them with filters. I really like the overall outcome. I was going for an art galley type vibe
Content Aware
Used to remove unwanted objects or fill in missing areas in an image seamlessly.
Using Content Aware is like magic. Even though I had this tool at my disposal, attention to detail is important. I really had to sale the appearance that she was never there.
Layers
Editing system that allows you to work on different parts of an image independently. Understanding layers is fundamental to effective photo editing and manipulation. Here's a basic overview of Photoshop layers.
The Movie Poster project was one of my favorites. Using Photoshop layers allowed my creativity to take flight. I came up with this ideal because this semester just fried my brain.
Filters

There are so many creative filters within Photoshop. I took the above image at the sand dunes and the below image in Hawaii. I came across this filter and it just blew my mind. I was able to turn a desert into a lush environment. I was also able to turn day into night.
Skin Retouch
Skin retouching in Photoshop is a common practice in portrait photography to enhance the appearance of the skin while maintaining a natural look.
When I retouch skin, I want it to come off as natural as possible. For this image I made really subtle adjustments. I wanted to overall appearance to look as natural as possible.
Typography
Typography is the art and technique of arranging type to make written language readable and visually appealing. It encompasses a variety of elements, including typefaces, font sizes, line spacing, and letter spacing.
By using text in the following images, I feel that this has brought more life to my photography.
Animated Gifs
GIFs (Graphics Interchange Format) involves combining multiple images or frames to produce a looping animation. GIFs are widely used for sharing short, simple animations on the internet.
Animated Gifs is a very powerful tool in Photoshop and it adds value to whatever you're doing. Seeing the overall outcome was very pleasing.
Animated Gradient
Animated gradient involves transitioning between different colors smoothly over time to produce a dynamic and visually appealing effect.
I really enjoyed using this technique within photoshop because it is very bright, vivid, stands out, and adds value to any project.
The parallax effect in Photoshop involves creating a sense of depth and movement by having different layers move at different rates.
The Parallax really gave this Mp4 life. By keeping the foreground in place and having the background in motion it really brings attention to what is going on.
